Fr. Matt will celebrate 5 years of priesthood
on June 26th!
We are very grateful for Father’s service and
commitment as a Holy Priest of God.
To celebrate this occasion, there will be a
lunch at St. John’s after the 10:30am Mass
on Sunday, June 22.
June 22 is the Feast of Corpus Christi. To
celebrate this Feast and to bring the Body
and Blood of Christ to the people of Duluth
a Eucharistic Procession is planned for that
day.
The procession will begin at St.
Benedict Church after the 1 pm Latin
Mass, about 2:30pm and will proceed to the Cathedral of Our
Lady of the Rosary where it will end with Benediction.
A bus will be available at the Cathedral at 2pm to transport
people to St. Benedict’s to begin the procession. There will
also be bus transportation after Benediction to transport
people back to the St. Benedict parking lot.
The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart is Friday,
June 27th. Mass will be celebrated at 8am
at St. Benedict’s and then we will celebrate
God’s love for us after Mass with breakfast,
fellowship and activities for the kids. Since it
is a Solemnity, there is no sacrificing, so
there will be bacon! Bring a
bakery item to share if you’d
like. Everyone is welcome
